Do you want to understand anxiety, bereavement, depression, stress, self-harm? Do you want techniques and resources to help manage them? We have it all on one page.

We often get asked by parents and carers how they can support their children. Or young people want to know how they can work on coping strategies in between sessions. We offer practical tips and suggestions based on each personal experience but wanted to put together some easily accessible resources.

Understanding mental health difficulties is often the first step in managing them. Once we know what is happening and why, we can start to address it. We can then work on root causes, emotional regulation and being able to express ourselves in a healthy way.

“Knowledge is power, community is strength and positive attitude is everything”

At Thriving Young Minds, our approach is to empower young people, to build on their strengths and focus on how they can help themselves. We also promote the benefits of having a network of support, people who understand, who you can reach out to and communicate with in a healthy way. These resources are also for them.

We have put together a list of websites, apps, videos, books and other resources that adults and young people can use. Have a look and keep an eye out for new things being added. If you have any resources you would like to share or anything you would like to find out more about, let us know!
